San Diego Air & Space Museum’s 19th Annual “Space Day” offers Family Friendly Space-Related Fun and Experiential Learning on Saturday, May 11

Exciting and Interactive Space Day activities include space-related demonstrations, fun hands-on activities with local and national space experts and the always-popular “Stomp Rockets.”

The San Diego Air & Space Museum’s 19th Annual Space Day celebration is set for Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Museum’s Pavilion in Balboa Park. Space Day features demonstrations, and fun, hands-on activities with local and national space industry experts.

Two children ages 12 and under are free with one paid adult admission during Space Day.

The Museum’s unique “SPACE: Our Greatest Adventure” is also open for viewing throughout the event, including the actual Apollo 9 Command Module, moon rocks, space suits and more. The exciting “ABOVE AND BEYOND” special exhibition exploring the future of aviation and space exploration and innovation also is included during Space Day.

Space Day is included with the price of admission to the Museum. Youth groups and chaperones of 10 or more that preregister at education@sdasm.org are free.
